Narrative Enneagram Professional Certification Program (Practitioner Track)

The Narrative Enneagram is the longest running Enneagram School in the world and only IEA Accredited School with Distinction. The Professional Certification Program (Practitioner Track) is for those who are interested in developing skills using the Enneagram in their professional work as a therapist, coach, spiritual director, or other individual client work.
During this 12-month experiential learning program, you’ll develop your skills conducting typing interviews and working individually with clients. You’ll learn from expert faculty through live online modules, gain hands-on experience with feedback from a Coach and Supervisor during practicum, and build relationships with your cohort throughout the year long experience.
Program Components Include:
Module 1: Typing Process - In this 3-day live online training, you’ll learn how to conduct individual typing interviews using the inquiry method to help interviewees discover their potential type.
Typing Practicum - Practice your typing interview skills and learn to support those in the process of type discovery by conducting typing interviews in the Narrative Tradition with feedback from your Coach.
Module 2p: Practitioner Training - In this 3-day live online training, you’ll learn to engage the Enneagram in your work with individual clients to support their growth.
Practitioner Practicum - Integrate the Enneagram into your work with clients and participate in group supervision facilitated by a Supervisor.
Graduation - Celebrate becoming a Certified Narrative Enneagram Practitioner (CNEP). Upon graduation, you will also receive one free year of Professional Membership with the Narrative Enneagram to support you in staying connected to the Enneagram community and jump-starting your professional Enneagram work.
Interactive training components include:
- Practice conducting typing interviews with volunteer from the community and feedback from faculty and coaches
- Explore strategies that support each of the nine types to grow along with the gifts and challenges of working with each type
- Explore your own type bias and increase your capacity for self-reflection, self-observation and receptive awareness
- Discover type-specific transference and counter-transference issues and develop effective life-changing strategies and interventions for each type
- Build your skills to incorporate somatic elements into your practice
- Complete case presentations exploring work with clients
- Group supervision during practicum to share client questions and receive feedback from the group
- Write a final reflection paper
- Small and large group discussion throughout the program, including cohort meetings outside of training time

- Instincts and Subtypes
Practitioner Track also:
- Be currently enrolled OR have successfully completed a professional training program in their discipline (e.g. mental health counseling, coaching, spiritual direction, etc.)
- Have worked as a fee-based client with a practitioner in their discipline for at least 6 sessions
- Have been working with individual clients in their discipline for at least 6 months
- Be actively working with at least 2 clients currently
