Letter from the IEA President

Yay!  The 2015 IEA Global Conference at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Hotel is coming up soon (July 30-Aug 1) and I’m excited.  I find myself periodically checking the new IEA Conference App on my i-phone to review the list of people who will be attending.  One of the things I most enjoy about the IEA Conference is seeing and reconnecting with so many dear people that I’ve met over the years and watching others do the same – the laughter, the hugs, the chatter, and the love that conference attendees share with each other is always so fun and truly heartwarming.  I also find myself scrolling through the list of presenters and the conference program, looking forward to the variety of experiences offered.  I’m seeing where some of the presenters have already provided their session materials which peaks my interest even more.

If you’ve not yet registered for the conference, it’s not too late to do so.   Please join us!!

If you’ve not yet downloaded the  IEA Conference App on your laptop and cell phone, I encourage you to do so.  It’s great fun to play with and will hopefully contribute to a terrific conference experience!   For your Mobile Devices, in the Apple App Store or Google Play: search  IEA Global Conference.  For your computer or laptop, go to:  iea.resultsathand.com

On another note, the IEA Board has recently welcomed two new Board members: Belinda Gore and Leslie Hershberger.  We’re thrilled to have them join the IEA Board team!

The IEA Board will be meeting in San Francisco at the conference hotel for two full days prior to the conference.  It’s amazing how dedicated the Board members are and how much work everyone is doing. I encourage you to stop by the Board Table set up in the foyer during the conference to meet them, ask questions, offer suggestions, and/or simply chat. If you’re not able to attend the conference, we welcome your email communications.

The IEA continues to grow and expand around the globe, moving us toward our vision of “a world in which the Enneagram is widely understood and constructively used.” Our International Affiliates and US Chapters are very active and representatives from the Affiliates and Chapters will be gathering on Wednesday before the conference for the 7th annual General Assembly of Affiliates. This is a good place to also announce and welcome the newest US Chapter, IEA Colorado.

We continue to keep the three pillars of our mission, Engagement, Education, and Excellence forefront in everything we do.  On the “Excellence” front, The IEA Accreditation Program continues to grow with now almost one hundred IEA Accredited Professionals, eight Accredited Training Programs, and fourteen Accredited Schools.

I guess that’s it for now.

Wishing you all well and hope to see you in San Francisco!

Sincerely,

Lynda Roberts

President, IEA Board of Directors
