Summary of a 2016 IEA Conference Workshop – The Enneagram Types in Grief and Loss

The Enneagram Types in Grief & Loss

Exploration of grief and loss through the lens of our Enneagram personality is eye opening! Whether loss is related to health, shattered dreams, or relationships, our personality moves into patterns and stories that lessen anxiety in the moment, yet doesn’t allow our grieving to flow.  In this workshop we will explore:

  • the idealized self that creates type-specific patterns blocking grief’s movement
  • the core avoidance and placement of attention that moves us away from feeling our grief
  • the PAUSE process, a tool for shifting from internal story to the felt sense of grief
