Rumi, the most read poet in America today, describes the Sufi origin of the Enneagram in his famous Mathnawi. Following a 20 minute explanation of the Sufi Enneagram through its geometric symbol, we will break into smaller groups, and through role playing-doubling and other psychodrama techniques-experience Rumi’s characters traits as we explore through our own body, heart, mind centers in their spiritual quest to attain wholeness in personal relationships. By the end of the 90 minutes we will understand the vices of the body, heart and mind centers which prevent us from spiritual wholeness and the virtues that can, through Rumi practices, replace the vices.
