A cancer diagnosis temporarily stops you in your tracks and brings on a range of emotions. “Repression of expression” can be damaging to our psyche and our physical and emotional well-being. It can prevent us from moving on with our lives. We learn a simple movement vocabulary that translates emotional energy into physical energy. This is applied to learning the Enneagram’s range of coping styles. After a meditation to calm and focus the mind inward, we apply this method to understand and express our feelings, which loosens the grip they have over us.
